Women's Interprovincial and John Ross Roberston Final

Alberta and British Columbia registered big wins in the semi-final's of the John Ross Robertson Competition on Friday in Calgary.

At Inland Park, Crown Cricket Club (Alberta) put up a massive 394 runs led by an exciting century from Praveen Saroye. In reply, Saskatchewan (Saskatoon Cricket Club) were all our for 130.

At Martindale Cricket Ground, Meraloma's scored 232 from their 50 overs before bowling out Manitoba (India XI) for 58.

Crown and Meraloma's meet Saturday for the John Ross Robertson Competition Championship at Inland Park starting at 10am.

Friday saw the first ever interprovincial women's game in Calgary's history held when BC took on Alberta at Riley Park. Alberta batted first and scored 77 which BC chased for the loss of 3 wickets. The young Alberta ladies were buoyed by a morning camp put on by BC based national team players and national team women's coach George Codrington.

The interprovincial continues on Saturday at Riley Park.
