Chohan captains Stallions to Title

The Western Stallions are the first ever winners of Canada's National Cricket League compeition defeating the Pacific Edge by 76 runs in a rain reduced 26 over match on Sunday.

Batting first, the Stallions were led by Shazad Bashir (89). Bashir shared a 120 run 15 over partnership with Parveen Saroye (38) to pace the Stallions to the imposing total.  Satmaranjit Dhinsa (3-35) was the pick of the bowlers for the Edge.

In reply the Edge never got moving as only Gaurav Singh (38) really troubled the scorers. The Stallion bowlers all picked up a wicket and kept the asking run rate well above par for most of the innings.
