ONTARIO WINS CANADA CUP
The return of the Canada Cup produced one of the most thrilling finishes in recent memory as Alberta and Ontario fought down to the wire in the tournament finale.
Batting first, the favoured team from Ontario struggled to make any headway as Wardan Ul-Haq (2-33) and Ankit Karwal (2-18) restricted them to 125 from 50 overs. Arman Kamal (33) top scored for Ontario. In reply Alberta was quick off the mark as Canada's u18 skipper Suddepta Aurka (37) carried them to 58-2 before he perished leading to a total collapse. The Ontario team was quick to pounce as Manula Adithetty (4-30) and Druvh Patel (3-26) wrestled the advantage away as Alberta were all out for 114.
