A true sportsman and competitor, he actively competed in and guided the sport for over 70 years.  Currently, Cliff was the 3rd Vice President of Cricket, representing Canada internationally, on the Board of BC Cricket and a registered player for the Meraloma Club.  He was a big advocate for the game and never missed an opportunity to make sure you were up to speed on the latest cricket news.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Doreen, daughters Liz and Joanne and their families, sister Carol and her daughter Mandy.  He will be fondly remembered by his staff, many business associates, cricket, theatrical and close friends.

President Ranjit Saini spoke briefly in Toronto regarding the passing of a dear friend.

"Cliff Cox was a foundation of Canadian Cricket and a dedicated volunteer. He was a dear friend and a close advisor to me. In all times of difficulties and severe stress I would phone him and seek advice. Cliff brought peace and laughter to my life and was a person that could share my sorrows and excitement. While Cliff will live forever in our hearts, I will miss him dearly every moment of my life."
