HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CLASS

Cricket Canada is pleased to announce the inaugural induction class into the Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place on April 5th at Trappers Resturant in Toronto Ontario.

The hall inducted members in 4 categories; Player, Builder, Official and Team. Criteria for players included a minimum 3-year waiting period before induction.

John Davison, who led the charge to put Canada on the World Cricket map and will forever be remember for his stunning century against West Indies in the 2003 World Cup headlines the list of player inductions. Former teammate Ian Bilcliff, and captain Joe Harris, as well as Farouk Kirmani and Ingleton Liburd are among the inductees in the hall. Ave Mogan, is inducted as one of Canada's top women's cricketers of all time.

Builders were inducted as the official list of lifetime members of the organization. Clifford Cox and Kevin Boller are added to this list for their contributions to Canadian Cricket

Fredrick Heather and Colin Harvey will be inducted in the official’s category while the 2003 Senior Men’s team, which knocked off Bangladesh in the 2003 Cricket World Cup, will be inducted in the team category.

 

Cricket Canada President Ravin Moorthy congratulated all of the inductees on their achievement

“It is wonderful to finally get this off the ground and I am sure that the committee will add to this list in the years going forward. We have had over 125 years of great achievement to be recognized and we hope to see this hall of fame grow in stature and numbers in the years to come. The hall of fame dinner and induction ceremony is April 5th at Trappers Restaurant in Toronto.
