CRICKET CANADA WINS PRESTIGIOUS ICC AWARD

Cricket Canada has put a feather in its cap by virtue of its website gocricketgocanada.com.  The site has received rave reviews since its launch in mid 2011 and the organization has been awarded this week with an ICC Pepsi Development Award. 

The award, for Best Overall Cricket & Marketing Program was given to Cricket Canada after the organization had won the ICC America's regional award earlier in the year. 

Cricket Canada's continues to be a global leader making use of social media, web streaming and various high value media platforms to ensure that its website continues to engage a burgeoning supporter base in Canada.

As a testament to success of the website, Cricket Canada president Ranjit Saini took to the organization's facebook page to thank all those involved in making this possible:

"It has taken thousands of hours and a very dedicated and committed effort to reach this level of demonstrated excellence."

The website is now a fully bilingual project providing services in both of Canada's official langagues and support to francophone news and media agencies around the world.

Cricket Canada's Brand and Marketing Manager Rathan Moorthy shared his excitement over the ICC recognition. 

"We are overjoyed to be recognized by the ICC development programme for our progressive work in this area.  We took some steps forward in 2011 by ensuring that communication through all of Cricket Canada's platforms was consistently engaging and that we provided the facility for fans to follow Cricket Canada events through the streaming of live matches and ball by ball commentary.  As we are in Phase 1 of a 3 phase plan, the avid Canadian Cricket supporter will have much more to look forward to in 2012!"
