Cricket Canada has filled the vacant executive position of 1st Vice President with British Columbia's Vimal Hardat. Vimal, who has served for three years as the organization's 2nd VP, was the chosen by Cricket Canada's board of directors to fill the position following April's 2012 AGM in Vancouver.
As his replacement, Cricket Canada is pleased to announce that Mohammed Shaikh has accepted the nomination to serve as 2nd Vice President.
Shaikh, the long term president of the Toronto and District Cricket Association, brings a wealth and experience to the position.
“ I am truly excited to be given this opportunity, I would like to thank the Executive and Directors for having faith in me. I look forward to working with a progressive and forward thinking organization.”
Shaikh's appointment is effective immediately and he has already immersed himself in his new role.
