The final squad of 14 players to represent Canada at the World T20 Qualifying Tournament in Ireland from July 23 to August 1 will be selected at the conclusion of the Camp.

This is the first time that Canadian Women’s team has reached the final stage of World T20 qualification. They did so as a result of winning the ICC Americas tournament in the Cayman Islands in April 2012.

Canada has been placed in Group B along with Sri Lanka, hosts Ireland and Japan. Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Thailand and Netherlands make up Group A. The winner of the tournament qualifies for the World T20 to be conducted in Bangladesh in March 2014.
