National Women's team coach George Codrington offered his thoughts on his teams performance at the ICC WWT20Q ahead of today's contest and the Shield competition that will follow next week.

It has been an a learning experience for the players. The game against Sri Lanka was a real eye opener for the players as the difference in skill and experience was obvious. The big difference between us and the teams we have played so far other than Sri Lanka have not been the skill set of the players, but rather the huge difference in experience and the opportunity to play more often.

The girls are not giving up and have set their sights on winning the shield competition which would improve our world ranking.

The feedback from the other coaches and managers is that we have a good technical team, but lack playing experience, This along with a more viable domestic competition will help the players prepare better for future competitions at the higher level.
