Canada and Scotland locked horns in an exhibition 50 over match on Canada' first game of their tour of Sri Lanka. Bowling first, Canada restricted Scotland to 164 from 46 overs. Hiral Patel (2-14), Harvir Baidwan (2-18) and Zahid Hussain (2-33) led the way for the Canadian's who looked tidy in the field and displayed a lot of enthusiasm coming off one week of intenstive fitness training 

As the clouds rolled in Canada went into bat and were in all sorts of difficulty as Kumar, Patel, Gordon and Gunasekera were all gone within 4 overs as Canada were 24-4 when the match was abandoned due to rain.
