TRIBUTES TO CLIFF

RANJIT SAINI - PRESIDENT CRICKET CANADA (FULL CRICKET CANADA STATEMENT)

"Cliff Cox was a foundation of Canadian Cricket and a dedicated volunteer. He was a dear friend and a close advisor to me. In all times of difficulties and severe stress I would phone him and seek advice. Cliff brought peace and laughter to my life and was a person that could share my sorrows and excitement. While Cliff will live forever in our hearts, I will miss him dearly every moment of my life."

VIMAL HARDAT - PRESIDENT CRICKET BC (CLICK HERE FOR FULL CRICKET BC STATEMENT)

"Cliff will be one of the few who will make it in the history books of Canadian Cricket and cricket overall. With his passing, a legend has departed from the world of cricket and gone on to put his name into the history books. I salute the legend and God may need to have a cricket pitch in heaven as Cliff will need one and if there is none, then be sure that Cliff will make one there."

HONORABLE BAL GOSAL - MINISTER OF STATE (SPORT) GOVERNMENT OF CANADA (FULL GOVERNMENT OF CANADA STATEMENT)

It was with great sadness that I learned of the recent passing of Clifford Cox, Vice President of Cricket Canada. Mr. Cox who immigrated to Canada from England in 1956, was a leading figure in our nations cricket scene both as a player and a builder.

BEN SEEBARAN - FORMER CRICKET ADMINISTRATOR AND FRIEND OF MR. COX (FULL STATEMENT FROM MR. SEEBARAN)

BC has lost one of the longest lasting legendary stalwarts of cricket.  He will be long remembered for his long and dedicated service to cricket both near and far.

As a human being, he was kind, generous, and compassionate and he was endowed with a refreshing sense of humour. Endeared by all, he mixed with players from all backgrounds and levels. He also had a humanitarian instinct and a philanthropic disposition. He was benevolent and generous and helped create opportunities for many promising cricketers.
